El Salvador
is the smallest Central American country in land area but, it is the most
densely populated nation in the Americas.
It is a beautiful tropical land of rugged mountains, coned-shaped volcanoes,
green valleys and scenic lakes. This tiny Latin American nation suffered
greatly due to thirteen years of brutal civil war in the 1980's and 1990's. Its
devastating impact on the people and economy are still present
today. 
Most Salvadorians live in Central El Salvador,
the agricultural and industrial heartland. San Salvador, the capitol and largest city,
lies in this region. More than half of the people are farmers.
The beautiful people of El Salvador are
of mixed Indian and European decent and are usually referred to as Mestizo.
Qualifications for Parents:
Married and single. Some flexibility on parent's age. Other children in
family is acceptable.

Infants and
toddlers.
Travel:
First trip 5 days. Second trip 3 days, or escort may be provided.
